Going away? Let me take care of your chickens or ducks with daily visits tailored to their routine. I’ll ensure they’re safe, fed, and well looked after — so you can relax knowing your flock is in kind, capable hands. 🐣 Each visit includes: Fresh food and water Egg collection (if wanted) Cleaning/refreshing bedding (as needed) Door/gate checks and general safety check A quick visual health check 🌱 I can also top up bird-friendly treats or garden greens if provided. Cancellation Policy
📆 Bookings All poultry care bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability. I offer visits within Melrose and up to 5 miles. If you're unsure whether you're within range, feel free to contact me before booking. Bookings are request-only and will be confirmed manually to make sure timing and location are workable. ⏳ Cancellations & Changes Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before your visit. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be charged 50% of the visit fee. You can request changes (such as rescheduling or adding extra visits) with at least 12 hours' notice, subject to availability. 🐣 What’s Included Each visit typically includes: Fresh food and water Egg collection (if requested) Opening or closing coop doors (as agreed) Spot-cleaning or bedding top-up (if needed) Visual health and safety check Gate/lock checks and general security Visits last approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on flock size and requirements. 🚗 Travel Charge Travel is included for bookings within a 3-mile radius of TD7 4QB. For locations beyond this, an additional mileage fee of £0.45 per mile (each way) will apply. Mileage is calculated based on the shortest reasonable route from TD7 4QB to the booking address. ⚠️ Health & Safety Disclaimer I am not a vet and cannot diagnose or treat animal illnesses. If I notice unusual behaviour or signs of illness during a visit, I will contact you (or your emergency contact) right away and follow your instructions. In case of emergency and if you cannot be reached, I may seek veterinary help at your expense if I believe it’s necessary for the wellbeing of your animals. I cannot be held responsible for: Pre-existing health conditions Predators, weather-related issues, or natural causes Injury or death due to faulty housing, unsafe coops, or unsecured areas 🔐 Access Please make sure I have safe and clear access to the coop, feed, and any storage areas needed. If I cannot access your property or birds due to locked gates, aggressive animals, or unclear instructions, the visit may be cancelled but still charged. 📸 Optional Updates If you'd like a quick message or photo after each visit, just let me know!
