Service Description

Looking for peace of mind while you're away from your animals? I offer friendly, reliable field check-ins for ponies, goats, and sheep, making sure your animals are safe, comfortable, and cared for in their natural environment. 🐐 Each visit can include: Headcount / visual health check Water troughs/buckets check (top up if needed) Feed in the field Top up hay (if left ready) Apply fly spray (if safe to do so) Fence/gate checks Text or photo update after each visit (optional)


Cancellation Policy

📆 Bookings All field visits must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. I offer services within Melrose and up to 5 miles. If you're unsure whether you're within my service area, feel free to get in touch before booking. Bookings are set to “Request to Book” to allow me to confirm availability and travel time between visits. Repeat or daily bookings (e.g., during holidays) are welcome and can be arranged in advance. ⏳ Cancellations & Changes You can cancel up to 48 hours in advance at no cost. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be charged 50% of the service fee. Changes (like rescheduling or time adjustments) must be made at least 24 hours before your visit and are subject to availability. 🐐 Service Overview Each visit lasts around 20-30 minutes, depending on the number of animals and tasks required. The service includes: Visual health and welfare check Headcount Water troughs/buckets check and top up if required Top up hay or feed (provided by the owner) Apply fly spray (if requested and safe to do so) Gate and fence line check Optional photo or message update ⚠️ Disclaimer & Limitations I provide field-based care only. This service does not include stable work, mucking out, or leading animals. Animals must be accessible and safe to approach. If an animal is aggressive, distressed, or cannot be safely reached, I will inform you immediately and adjust care as needed. I am not a vet and cannot diagnose or treat illnesses. If I notice signs of injury or illness, I will contact you or your emergency contact right away and follow your instructions. In the event of an emergency and if you cannot be reached, I may seek veterinary advice or attention at your expense, if I believe it is in the best interest of your animal(s). I cannot be held responsible for: Pre-existing health issues or age-related complications Environmental hazards (e.g., weather, fencing, predator access) Incidents due to unsafe field conditions, faulty fencing, or inadequate shelter 🔐 Access Please make sure I have clear and safe access to your field and feed/hay storage if applicable. If I cannot access the animals or safely perform the visit, the service may be cancelled but still charged.
